I have a Facebook friend, a friend that has been recomended to me by my boyfriends brother. So I had never met this person before. She has a her own shop called
Pysselgrottan. There she sells home-made jewlery, perls, and stuff så that you can make your own jewlery. Also some stickers and other fun stuff.
Anyway. I wanted to check her shop out, and she had invited me to come. So on june 9
th I planed to visit! It's a holyday at Aland Islands then, they celebrate their autonomy. A day of work in the middle of the week, well, what's more perfect than taking a trip to Östhammar!
I told her, Veronica, that I could come that day, and if it was okay. That it was! She had to arrange with her work, because it's not a holyday in Sweeden, but that was okay too, she said. I didn't want to be at any trouble.

I started from Aland Islands in the morning. The ferry left Mariehamn at 7.30 am. That's early to get up on a holyday! But, as I thought about some workmorings I have to get up at 5.50 am, then this was better :)
And the great thing when driving early in the morning is that it is me and the road! I didn't meet that many cars! Well a few, but still. The picture was taken like this: Grab camera, camera up, no watching what gets on the picture, "click", camera away! No watching what got on the picture.

I was at Östhammar about 10 am, lokal time. I think.... I have to remember the time on my phone, because it changed, the time in the car showed (and still showes!) Finnish time. An hour later.
Veronica met me at a food stores parkinlot. It was easy to find, and I recognised her at once! That was my biggest consern :) Even though I had seen facebook pictures. But it was no problem! She wanted to take my out for a cup of coffe, and that suited me fine! Although I ordered tea. Strawberry tea! Mmmm! It was so yummy :)
The weather was nice! The sun was shining and it was warm. I was wearing shorts, but had pants over them, because it was colder in the morning. I wondered if I was to wear the shorts or the pants.... I didn't have to wonder for long! As I sat down to enjoy my tea I fumbled and the whole cup of tea was in my lap! Okay, half the cup. But still. That was an easy choise. I hade to take of the pants and wear the shorts instead.
It was an easier decision, but I had much rather wanted to
DRINK my tea! Not have it make decisions for me!
Anyway, it was a lovley café! As seen on the picture the tables are on the grass. Lovley! It's more unstable (
and NOT the reason why I had the tea all over me! That was my fault olny). To the tea I had a great carrot cake. Carrot cake happens to be my favorite cake :)

After the coffé break (
or tea-break, from my point of view) we went looking for a plastic bag for my pants. As Veronica knows the place it wasn't hard. She knew exactly where to go!
In the picture there is a garbigdecan and a lamp poste. I just liked the combination. It sais Östhammar
kommun on the can. That's
municipality.

Well....now I hit a black spot in my brain. I don't remember the names of these flowers. Anybody? I like them! And they smell so nice :)

This has used to be an elm. If I don't remeber the tree name wrong. But it got sick and had to be cut down. Instead an chainsaw artist carved this out. With a
CHAINSAW! Figure that! And look at all the details. It's about my height, so avridge human hight, like.
I figure this is an eagle.

There was an other elm as well (
if it in fact was elms). This is a familly of goshawk, I think. I think they look a bit like owls, but then again, I don't really know what goshawks look like.

The same familly from a different angle.

A picture of the wather side. I like the house on this picture. The one right in the middle, it doesn't look that big in the picture, I know.

I just love the ocean! This is nothing like the Pacific or the Atlantic. But it smells like sea, and frankley, I'm nog spoiled with seeing the ocean for very much. So this is quite allright for me :)

This is just an area near the wather. Sometimes used for markets, but there is a lot more potential in this than it is used for. Great view and big space.

The buidling in the back of this picture is the old wathertower. The kids from around has an other name on it :) Make your guesses! Just look at the form and use your imagination ;)

Here is an other picture of the wathertower.

After a short walk in Östhammar city it was time to go to
Pysselgrottan located at Gallembygatan 22. If the door is open, visit it! :)

The view from the door.

I seem to be without some pictures from the shop. Well, I might upload them later. It's a nice shop! Not my genre of home-making, but it could be :) I hesitated to go to Pysselgrottan, because I can't afford having more interests! Card-making is expensive enough.

Making jewlery demands creativity. Here is my bracelet in the making. The bracelet on her hand she has also done herself.

Here is two more that she has done herself. I was so close to bying the pink one :) But I liked the black and blue better. Now that one was too small, so the fist idea that Veronica had was to make me one with black and the yellow ones seen in the picture. Then I thought that black and "bling" looked so nice, so she made me a bracelet with only black and "bling" :)

This is the result! And I absolutely love it! I'm in two mindes of the lenght. It felt good then, but after wearing it almost two days, I think it might be too long. But I'm not sure. Shortning it might make it too short. I don't know...but I figure I can think about it until next time I go to Östhammar :)

The only thing I knew I was buying from
Pysselgrottan was this! A new watch. I hardly ever find a watch I like. Same with this, or so I thought! Soon I learned that there are Glow in the dark versions of theese! Oh my God! I knew I was sold :)

This is my new watch. "It's always too late"

And this is in the dark! Beautiful! I LoveLOVELove this one :D ;D :D Those who know me know that I had up to 500 glow in the dark things in my room back at my parents house :) This is SO me! 119kr, about 12€. Well worth it!!

After Östhammar it was straight back to Norrtälje, where I was to do some shopping. On the way back I had to take a picture of this clock tower. I liked it on the way to Östhammar and therefor took a picture.

This sign I have never seen before :) Warning for pigs? That's just great!

After a minor insident in Norrtälje, when I missed my turn and got pissed of, so I didn't want to take a closer look at Notträlje. (
It is NOT my car :) That pissed of I wasn't!). After making some grosery shopping I went to Kapellskär to wait at the ferry. There I saw this! This is a stripped car! You can't strip this more!

I meen, what is it still doing there?

And why are there 4 Aland Island flags at Kapellskär, it is in Sweeden!??!
